A used 1996 Manuel González Contreras (M.G. CONTRERAS) guitar has arrived!
Manuel G. Contreras (1928-1994) worked as a furniture maker before transitioning to guitar making.
In 1959, he joined the workshop of José Ramírez III, and after becoming independent in 1962, he created models embodying various innovative ideas from 1970 onwards.
There are repairs to cracks at both ends of the lower bulge of the soundboard, a repair to the crack below the 1st string in the headstock slot, as well as some scratches, dents, and paint wear in various places, but there are no problems with its playability.
It produces a solid, full-bodied tone characteristic of the Spanish Madrid school.
