A late 18th century, 1795 dated copper farthing token issued by Thomas Spence. To one side is an image of a pig above crossed swords and the legend "Pigs Meat Published by T. Spence London". To the other side central text of "Thos Spence. Sir Thos Spence. Thos Paine. 1795", surrounded by the text "Advocates for the rights of man".

Diameter is approx 2.1cm. Weight 3.21g. The pound coin is a size guide.

Condition: The token is a strong EF to both sides with even the details such as hairs and grass blades still visible. Fields are very clear and all text is very clear. A very nice example overall.

Photographs are of the actual token for sale.
