Here we have a cluster of tightly packed helvine crystals from Huanggang Deposit, Hexigton Banner, Inner Mongolia, China. Helvine is an uncommon manganese, beryllium silicate, and this find easily set a new standard for the species. This piece features fair sized, sharply terminated crystals with stepped faces in parallel formation. This find set a new standard for the species in terms of size and quality. An excellent thumbnail specimen of this rare mineral!
