Cover has a few creases near edges, light-scuffing and slight discoloration (front/back); darker discoloration spots on back. Inner-sleeve is original (generic white); two seams partially split. Spine is easy-to-read with mild wear. Little shelf-wear along top/bottom-edge and corners. Opening is crisp with signs of light use and divots; some discoloration along edge. (Not a cut-out.)

Anne of Green Gables: The Hit Musical, by the Original London Cast, is the cast recording of the 1969 West End production of the musical adaptation of Lucy Maud Montgomery's beloved novel, starring Polly James as Anne Shirley, Barbara Hamilton as Marilla Cuthbert, and Hiram Sherman as Matthew Cuthbert. This release captures a historically significant moment as the show marked the first international staging of Canada's longest-running musical, which originated at the Charlottetown Festival in 1965, and earned the 1969 Drama Critics Award for Best New Musical in London. Unique among adaptations, the musical's roots trace back to an earlier 1956 Canadian television version, with songs collaboratively developed over years by composer Norman Campbell, lyricist Elaine Campbell, Don Harron, and Mavor Moore.
