Vintage Betty Compson Autographed Portrait Photograph – Silent Film Star

Offered is an original vintage Hollywood studio portrait photograph of silent film actress Betty Compson, signed and inscribed.

The inscription reads:

“To Elizabeth, With best wishes from, Betty Compson.”

Compson was one of the leading actresses of the silent film era and starred in the Academy Award winning film Wings (1927). She also received an Academy Award nomination for her performance in The Barker (1928).

The photograph was taken by noted Hollywood photographer Witzel of Los Angeles, whose studio produced many glamour portraits of silent film stars during the 1920s.
