Otto Keramik, founded by former Ruscha director Otto Gerharz in 1964, is celebrated for pioneering and developing glorious fat lava glazes. Otto Keramiks continues to produce iconic pottery to this day, now under the stewardship of Otto's son.
This eye-catching ceramic bull is now handcrafted by Otto Gerharz junior using techniques that have been passed down from father to son.
Measures: H 14cm x W 23cm x D 10.5cm
The photos are of the exact bull you will receive- a gorgeous deep purple glaze with incredible fat lava on the spine.
PLEASE NOTE; there are a couple of small unglazed patches (one on the end of the horn and one on the rear) from where the glaze has shrunk under pressure from the firing/fat lava process. Also two minor pin prick holes in the glaze on the side (see photos).
