This is his 1981 MGB GT LE (Last Edition).  He bought it in 1981 as a nearly new vehicle (it had a few hundred miles on it) and he has owned it since.  It currently only has 13,200 miles on it, although this might increase slightly as I drive it every couple of weeks during the summer to keep the battery topped up.  

There is a pile of service history, although with such a low mileage it hasn't been in a garage a great deal over the years.  The registration is visible on the photos, so you can of course check the MOT history online.  

The most recent "service" was because it had been sat in the garage unused (we think) since 2018 and we decided to get it fully roadworthy with a fresh MOT before putting up for sale.  The extensive list of work is in the photos, and the full bill is available to an interested buyer, but I can tell you that it cost just over £4000.  This included a new battery, 4 tyres, a fuel tank and a whole host of fluids and gaskets.  The high listing price reflects both the condition and the fact that this is NOT a project car, but a usable classic which is ready to go.  (I took the photos before the service, so the tyres are on the car as now brand new.)

It is also worth mentioning that my father in law says that the underside was sprayed with 3 coats of anti-rust treatment when new and the mechanic commented that this has resulted in a MGB of excellent condition for its age.
