Hornby BR Class 101 2-Car Metro-Cammell  DMU - Green - Bench Tested OO - No Original Box but will be well packed for Delivery

A handsome pair of Driver-Trailer Coaches with characteristic warning 'Whiskers' front and rear. With fitted drivers

Comprising:
The Class 101 DMUs were the most numerous of the First Generation BR DMUs, emerging from the Birmingham (Washwood Heath) Works of Metro-Cammell between 1956 and 1959. They routinely operated as 2, 3 and 4-car Units, sometimes in combination with multiple powered units. They were unusually long-lived, with the final handful of units surviving in service until 2004.

The Power Car and Trailer offered here are from an original 3-car set sold by Hornby as R2578 in 2006-07 based, according to Ransey's Guide, on the 1997 Lima model, but with a new 5-Pole Skew-wound motor and DCC Ready status.
