This is my 1997 Jaguar XK8 4.0 litre petro Autol. Drives like an absolute train. The 4 litre engine purrs like a kitten and it drives fantastically well.

Just MOTd for 12 months with no advisories, and has done 600 miles in the last 12 months.

It's had the best part of 5k spent on it in the last 12 months including all the rot cut out of the sills and replaced, new suspension and bushes, new brakes and pads, new coils and plugs, sump and rocker gaskets, oil filter, air filter, aux belt & drivers door regulator.  it's also had a new gear selector solenoid & ball joints.  I do have the pictures that show this too.

Previous owner before that had the wheel arches replaced, new tyres, a new battery and new headlining with invoices for approx £1700.  There are a lot of other receipts as well.

it does have its bad points. it is a 29 year old car after all!

the paintwork lets it down. it was left under a tarpauline for a while which has damaged the laquer to the roof bonnet and boot. I have tried to cut it out and it has improved, but it's still not great.
the interior is also a bit tired. the seats have seen better days and there a couple of loose switches.  they do all work though, as does the cruise control, radio etc.  There's only 1 key but the remote central locking does work!

This is a really genuine honest entry level classic that could do with a bit of love, but can also be used as is.
My only reason for selling is that it's not really me. I got it in the hope it would be, but I am a 2 door convertible person. Whoever buys this will love driving it.
I have tried to be absolutely as honest as I can be. this isn't a concourse car but a genuine honest motor with a bit of refinement.
If you check the history and it says it was registered in 2003, that's because it was originally registered in Northern Ireland in 1997 before being registered in the mainland in 2003. This shows on the V5.
