Vintage Farberware Open Hearth Broiler Rotisserie 455A - Works See Video

This is a classic Farberware Open Hearth Electric Broiler and Rotisserie, Model 455-A. This iconic piece of mid-century kitchen engineering is famous for its "cool zone" cooking method, designed to reduce smoke while providing an outdoor grilled flavor indoors. Based on the documentation and design, this unit dates back to the late 1960s or early 1970s.

This specific set is exceptionally complete, featuring the original Instruction Manual and the "Gallery of Broiler & Rotisserie Masterpieces" recipe guide. Most notably, it includes the rare long-handle grill fork, an accessory often lost over the decades. Works See Video for a full demonstration of the rotisserie function.

Specifications

Condition Section

Factual condition is excellent vintage. The stainless steel body and aluminum drip tray are remarkably clean, showing only the lightest signs of handling or a single previous use. The chrome finish on the rotisserie supports and spit is bright. Works See Video—the rotisserie motor has been replaced to ensure the spit turns smoothly and reliably. The original paper manuals show some minor staining and age-related "foxing" but remain fully legible and intact.
