This auction is for a Melles Griot Prototype RED Diode Laser. Super Bright!

I bought this and a bunch of other Melles Griot lasers after a plant closing in Ca.  This is definitely a prototype, built on the old Melles Griot DPSS laser chassis which were normally 532nm and 457nm.

This laser produces about 1 W of RED.   It may produce more however I did not have a lens to collimate the output beam.

Looks to be in the 650-660nm wavelength range.

I measured about 900mW at 13.5 A of drive current (2.5V)  I didn't want to take it further as I am unsure of how much power this diode actually takes.

You will need a laser diode driver capable of providing ~13A at 2.5V.  You will also need a TEC temperature controller as the laser diode sits on a TEC cooled base.  I will provide pinout instructions for the laser.

I also have some other RED versions of the Melles Griot DPSS lasers.  Similar design to the 532nm/457nm lasers but RED!
