BEAUTIFUL Imari Box or Covered Bowl hand crafted in Japan during the Meiji period in the 19th century. The exterior features panels containing dragons, phoenix and flaming pearls. Displays nicely with a 7"+ diameter and 5" to the top of the knob. This gorgeous box remains in excellent condition with no damages and slight wear to the gold/enamel. The rim of both the cover and bottom are signed. Great addition to an Imari or porcelain box collection. Presumed to be an implement in the tea ceremony. Please review photos and make inquiries.
