1966 Italy 500 Lire, 11.0 grams of .835 SILVER, .2935 ASW. The date is on the edge of the coin and the date was written on the holder where the coin has remained for some time. The coin is about the size of the US half dollar, 29.3 mm. The obverse of the coin has the three Christopher Columbus ships and the reverse is of a young woman in Renaissance garb. This is an attractive coin and I would have said it was an Unc. but on the obverse it appears that something may have been laid over the top at one time and then toning set in. Thanks for looking!
