Twin and Earth Electrical Cable is the most common cable used for domestic wiring.  This cable has met all the industry and governmental safety guidelines and standards for cables, including the BS 6004:2012 standard. It is BASEC approved and UKAS Certified. It is CE Marked.

Cable Construction                                                                                                                                                      The live and neutral are individually insulated in blue and brown coloured PVC insulation and the earth is bare. The overall bundle of wires is insulated in a grey PVC outer casing. 

Common Cable Uses                                                                                                                                                                                            2.5mm Twin & Earth is commonly used for ring main sockets, radial sockets, immersion heaters, boilers and plugs.
