BEAUTIFUL VINTAGE MIRROR (8.75" x 7.25") OF PERUVIAN FOLK ART, HAND-PAINTED INSIDE, EIGHT PANELS, GILDED. HANDMADE.
In the central panel on the right, a musician is seen seated, playing a quena or Andean flute. He wears a multicolored poncho, very characteristic of local festivities.
Agricultural and Livestock Activities: In the upper center, a farmer leads a laden llama or alpaca, an animal essential for transportation and wool in the highlands.
Other panels show people working the land and herding pack donkeys, reflecting the importance of manual and animal labor in the countryside.
Typical Clothing: The figures wear ponchos (to protect themselves from the cold), chullos (woolen hats with earflaps) or wide-brimmed hats, and the women wear colorful skirts.
Geographic Landscape: The background of almost all the scenes shows the snow-capped peaks of the Andes Mountains, along with adobe houses and red tile roofs, typical of towns like Ayacucho.

Ideal gift for special occassions or collectors. This is a beautiful example of Ayacucho, Peru. Decorated with people, trees, and flowers, painted inside. It has no restorations, minimal wear in the borders, typical of its age but it's in good(+) condition for the time that has passed (+50 years). Acquired by a family member on a trip and received as an inheritance. No original packaging.
