Vintage 1940's Original Oil Painting on Canvas ~ Abstract Expressionist Figurative Composition

The artist attribution is based on the markings on the back of the painting and frame rails, as well as other similar paintings from the same estate in Enumclaw, Washington. Similarly, the dating was determined by markings on this and other paintings. The "U.S. Art Canvas Co" was a common source of painting supplies in the 1930's and 1940's.

Condition:The painting has good color with some noticeable fading and discoloration from exposure to contaminants. The canvas has no holes or tears, and is taut, but would benefit from some further stretching. Please see all photos and feel free to contact us with any questions.
