This set of 4 vintage maracas from Cartagena, Colombia, dating back to 1957, is a unique and authentic piece of musical history. Handmade and hand-painted with vibrant designs, these maracas embody the craftsmanship and culture of Colombia from that era. Perfect for adding a touch of nostalgia and authenticity to any music lover's collection, these vintage maracas offer a one-of-a-kind sound and aesthetic.
Brought back to the US by an uncle who was a Merchant Marine!
Presumably made with hollowed-out gourds, with wooden handles inserted.  Sold as-is: One maraca has no seeds inside, but this could be remedied by inserting some small beans, etc.  See pictures, as there are some visible splits, due to age.
Almost 70 years old!
