The Sixties Collection — No. II Handmade Dress for Sasha Dolls with Shaped Centre Front Panel and Gathered Skirt

A beautifully constructed sleeveless cap-sleeve dress, handmade for Sasha dolls (16" and 17") and based on a classic vintage 1960s children's dress design. Finished with a simple round neckline for a clean, understated look.

Handcrafted with care

The pattern has been drafted by me from the doll's own measurements, using the original vintage design as inspiration for the style and construction. Each dress is then made by hand in my home sewing studio — a pet-free and smoke-free environment — with close attention to every detail.

Design and construction

The dress features a distinctive construction: a shaped centre front panel running uninterrupted from the neckline down to the hem, with gentle princess-style curves along its sides at the bodice and a softly curved bottom edge.

On either side of the centre panel, the side bodice pieces are joined at the waistline to gathered side skirt panels, while the back has a fitted bodice with a gathered back skirt attached at the waist. This combination gives the dress a clean, elegant line down the centre front, with soft fullness flowing around the sides and back.
