1963 Chevrolet C10 Panel Truck – Running Engine – Project
The Story:
This vehicle belongs to a friend of mine who has been dealing with dementia. I am helping sell it on behalf of his wife as she is downsizing to make things more manageable. This truck was part of his work vehicles and has been sitting for quite some time. It is currently in his name with a Nevada title. A bill of sale can also be provided if needed.
Body:
The body is in good condition for its age. The floorboards are solid overall, with mostly surface rust and only a few small holes along the sides. There is rust present on the rocker panels and fenders, which is typical for a C10 of this era.
Drivetrain:
The truck has an automatic transmission, believed to be a Turbo 350, along with a 12-bolt rear end and stock drum brakes. The engine appears to be a mid-1970s 305 that I was able to get it running (See video)
It seems healthy enough to operate and at idol it has 39 psi oil. However, it will need wiring work and the fuel system gone through.
Wiring:
The vehicle will need to be completely rewired.
Transportation:
I can help get it to a transport close to the Seattle area. Please let me know if you plan on doing that so we can work out the details.
If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out and I’ll do my best to help.
Thanks,
Dan
