Beautiful carved and turned hardwood headrest, probably 19th Century Ethiopian.

Unusually this has a detachable curved rest that terminates in twin lugs.

This is mounted on a turned dome base with three shaped bracket supports.

Measures 27 cm x 30 cm high and weighs 1,258 grams.

A very tactile piece with a lovely patina.
