Ⅰ. Brief Introduction

First of all, thank you for using our company's products. A weld bead polishing machine (also known as a weld polishing machine, weld cleaning machine or stainless steel polishing machine) is a new helper for making stainless steel products. It can help you deal with the black and yellow weld beads produced during argon arc welding. Due to the strong irritant odor and corrosiveness of traditional steel washing (pickling solution passivation paste), it causes great pollution to the workpiece and site. Directly using a physical polishing machine can cause the workpiece to become deformed and discolored. Therefore, using a welding bead polishing machine to clean the welding bead should be the preferred option for users. You just need to lightly dip the processing gun with the processing solution and rub it against the weld bead, and the black and yellow spots on the oxide skin will immediately disappear.

Ⅲ. Instructions for Use

  1. Cloth Wrapping Treatment Method:
(1). Connect the treatment gun, ground wire, and control wire to the corresponding terminals, plug the power supply into AC220V, turn on the power switch, and then the power indicator light on. When working on the ground clamp the workpiece (to form a conductive circuit), in the treatment of the gun head is wrapped with a treatment cloth (so that the gun head is insulated), dipped in the treatment fluid, against the black weld channel slowly back and forth to wipe (inverter machine need to press the microswitch), the black immediately disappeared.
(2). If there is a small spark when working, it means that the treatment cloth has been worn through and the insulation has failed, please change the position of the treatment cloth or replace the treatment cloth.
  2. Brush Welding Bead Treatment Method:
    (1) Set the gear switch of the machine to low gear (such as 24V), connect the brush cleaning gun and ground wire to the corresponding terminals, connect the power supply AC220V, turn on the power switch, and the power indicator light will turn on. When working, it is necessary to clamp the ground wire clamp onto the workpiece (forming a conductive circuit). Insert the brush head into the dedicated brush activity limiter (If this component is not available, please insert the fiber sleeve.), exposing the wool material by about 1 centimeter. Then connect the brush head to the brush cleaning gun handle (or an extended connecting rod, no need to wrap it with cloth), lightly dip it in the treatment solution, and wipe it back and forth against the black weld bead. The black color will immediately disappear.
    (2) Electric arc sparks may occur during work, which is a normal phenomenon. If it is necessary to deal with corners, it may easily cause frequent alarms. At this time, the contact surface between the brush and the workpiece should be reduced, or a part of the brush should be wrapped with insulating tape for treatment to reduce the contact surface.
    (3) If the brush head just touches the workpiece and you find that it cannot be cleaned, but there are small sparks, it is likely that the contact area is too large, and the machine has been disconnected but no alarm has been triggered. At this point, it should take about 10 seconds before attempting to clean with the tip of the brush head.
  3. Operation Reminder
  • After processing, please immediately rinse the weld bead with clean water or spray the weld with a spray can. For welds with high requirements, it is necessary to treat them to prevent stains and spots from being left afterward. Neutralizing agents can be sprayed immediately for better results, and then clean the stains with clean water.
  • For stainless steel with mirror-polished material, a specialized mirror brush agent should be used, which can be used for a slightly longer time and can stay on the weld bead for one or two more seconds to achieve a bright effect.
  • This series of weld bead processing machines adopts some imported components, fully automatic circuit breaker protection, flexible operation, convenience, and safety. It is normal for this machine to produce arc sparks during operation. When in standard gear, the cleaning of the weld bead is relatively thorough, but the speed is slower; When strengthening the gear, the cleaning speed of the weld bead is fast, but the treatment of the weld bead is relatively rough. The machine adopts the latest circuit design, with a low failure rate and easy maintenance.
  • The anti-electronic interference function of the welding bead polishing machine is weak and generally cannot be used together with the argon arc welding machine. Do not share the same power socket with the argon arc welding machine, and should be at least 10 meters away from the welding machine to affect the treatment effect.
  • This welding bead polishing machine can be directly connected to a 220V power supply without the need for a welding machine or other equipment to supply secondary voltage, making it very convenient and safe to carry.

.  Characteristics of Brush Processing Gun

A brush processing gun, also known as a brush cleaning gun or brush polishing gun, is specifically designed for use with the welding bead polishing machine sold by our company.

Product Features: "Save" - Save time, worry, effort, and cost.

  • Time-saving - Its cleaning speed is fast, with an efficiency increase of 300% compared to the speed of cleaning cloth processing. Especially for workpieces with small welds and corners, the effect is significant.
  • Worry-free - It eliminates the hassle of frequent manual wrapping and can easily handle any small angle weld seam. Within a unit of time, it is 90% cleaner than cleaning cloth.
  • Effort-saving - You only need to gently touch the brush with the weld seam of the workpiece without wiping it hard.
  • Cost-saving - It uses less cleaning fluid, is faster, and labor costs are dramatically reduced.

V. Precautions for the Use of Brush Processing Machine

  • When using a brush welding bead polishing machine, please adjust the DC voltage to 24V. Generally, this gear has the best effect and the speed is fast enough. If the maximum speed is indeed required for processing, it can be temporarily adjusted to 36V, but the working time cannot exceed 1 minute, and then adjusted to 24V to clean the fallen welding slag, while also effectively preventing the machine from causing short circuit alarms and extending its service life!
  • During use, soak the brush head in the weld cleaning solution (penetrating to the base of the wool material) every 10 seconds or so. The brush head should be assembled in a dedicated brush activity limiter or fiber sleeve, and the wool part should not be exposed for too long, otherwise it is difficult to hold. It is advisable to use about 1 centimeter. Depending on the depth of the weld seam, the number of brushing cycles should be controlled. Generally, for thin plates below 1MM, only 1-2 brushing cycles are required. After processing, please immediately rinse with clean water, spray the weld bead with a spray bottle, or wipe the stains with a clean damp cloth.
  • During the operation of the brush processing gun, there may be arc sparks, brush damage, and breakage, which is normal. Do not wipe with force, just gently touch the workpiece. When adjusting the current or DC voltage to a low level, this phenomenon will be significantly reduced.
  • When the brush is used to its limit, it may cause the machine to short-circuit and trigger an alarm. Please replace the brush head in a timely manner; When the weld cleaning solution becomes thick black, it will reduce the cleaning effect. Please replace the cleaning solution in a timely manner. ▲ Do not use insulation cloth or heat shrink tubing to wrap the entire brush and wipe it off!
  • Please pay attention to fire and explosion prevention when using brush heads for cleaning! Due to the small electric arc sparks generated by the brush head during operation, please pay attention to the working environment and avoid placing flammable and explosive materials such as gasoline and sealed cans around it! If large sparks are found on the brush head, please stop working immediately.
  • When not in use for a long time, please unscrew and clean the brush head, and store it in a dry place.

Ⅵ. Precautions for Using Welding Bead Polishing Solution (Cleaning Solution)

  • Unless there is good ventilation, it is generally recommended to wear a mask and gloves to prevent the liquid from spraying into the eyes. The residual cleaning solution should be placed in the wastewater system.
  • Health Hazards: Eye contact can cause burns. Long-term repeated skin contact can cause skin irritation.
  • Environmental Hazards: Acidity is difficult to decompose and has an impact on the environment, causing pollution to water bodies and soil.
  • Explosive Hazard: This product does not pose an explosive hazard, but it is corrosive and irritating. Prolonged use in a sealed environment can cause burns to the human body.
  • Skin Contact: After contact with the skin, thoroughly rinse the skin with soapy water and clean water, and finally rinse with a 3% -5% NaHCO3 solution. In severe cases, seek medical attention immediately.
  • Eye Contact: Immediately rinse the upper and lower eyelids with plenty of water. If the pain persists, seek ophthalmic treatment.
  • Inhalation: Take the inhaler away from the exposed area to a place with fresh air and keep the air clear. If symptoms persist, seek medical attention immediately.
  • Ingestion: If accidentally swallowed. Please do not induce vomiting and promptly seek medical attention for gastrointestinal cleaning.
  • Emergency Response for Leaks: For small leaks, mix sand, dry lime, or soda ash. It can also be washed with a large amount of water, diluted with washing water, and placed in the wastewater system. Massive leakage: constructed as embankments or dug pits for containment, pumped into specialized collectors for tanker cargo, and transported for recycling and disposal at waste disposal sites.
