2023 Challenger R/T Scat Pack Shakedown Special Edition
For consignment, a 2023 Dodge Challenger Shakedown Special Edition with a title verified 2,539 actual miles. The Shakedown Edition was available in two configurations, narrow bodied in Destroyer Gray and widebody in Black. Each configuration was limited to 500 cars.
Exterior
The neon yellow spoiler guards first catch your eye, but it's the asymmetrical stripe on the hood that draws the eye, with varying width flat black stripes and bright red one sweep around the hood scoop and travel over the roof and decklid, immediately denoting this car as something special. The shaker hood, red 392 decals on the side, and Shakedown spoiler graphic are just part of the package that makes this one unique. Low gloss 20-inch wheels are there too, here wrapped in 275/40ZR20 tires with an early 2023 date code. It's hard to miss the red brake calipers behind those wheels, compliments of Brembo. In back, the standard, aggressive fascia remains with piano black panel, elongated tail lights, and exhaust tips that tuck neatly into the valance. This car presents as new and we could not find any exterior imperfections.
Interior
Leather clad door panels are nicely designed and augmented by red stitching and molded plastic that provides lower storage including a contoured cupholder for each front seat occupant. Special seats are demanded by this limited edition, and they are black Nappa leather surrounding Alcantara inserts and the red stitching continues to bolster aesthetics. Seatbelts are supplied with a dark red hue Dodge calls Demonic Red, while the angry bee is depicted in black and white embroidery on the seat backs. A bit less dressy and supportive in back, but they do get the red seatbelts while the steering wheel, dash pad, and center console retain the red stitching. Carbon fiber faceplates surround gauges and the shifter while an 8.4" screen relays everything from navigation to the functions of the AM/FM radio with Uconnect and XM capability. Tight black carpet below, a padded, suede headliner above, and smooth gray panels in the trunk complete the clean presentation and new car smell!
Drivetrain
Under the shaker hood scoop is a spotless 392ci Hemi V8, fuel injected, and putting out 485 horsepower. It is mated to a TorqueFlite 8-speed automatic transmission that routes power to the rear axle and 3.09 gears.
Undercarriage
A bit of road spray is the only evidence this car's ever been driven, as the entirety of the bottom is otherwise showroom fresh. Brembo 6-piston brakes supply the power discs to all four wheels while active dual exhaust travels through original equipment all the way back to the polished, square tips. Suspension consists of Macpherson struts in front and coil springs in back.
Drive-Ability
No surprises here, we've had the pleasure of representing modern Dodge products and they deliver raucous power, stupendous handling, and more bells and whistles than all the locomotives in Pennsylvania. The cabin is supportive, ergonomic, and comfortable and this car would be a joy on long treks or short jaunts, even if you're just going ¼ mile down the road, legally.
