Taylor 712-Koa Natural 1996 Acoustic Guitar

Description

Top: Cedar, Sides & Back: Hawaiian Koa, Fingerboard & Bridge: Ebony, Neck: Mahogany, Original Grover Gold Tuners, Original Tortoiseshell Pickguard, X-Bracing

A 1990s Taylor 712-Koa has arrived! It features a cedar top and rare Hawaiian koa sides and back. Its compact body size, similar to a Martin 00, makes it easy to enjoy! Based on the serial number, it's a 1996 model with some dents and a retrofitted LR Baggs Anthem SL pickup, but overall it's in excellent condition with great playability and sound. The Grover gold tuners, tortoiseshell pickguard, and bridge are original. A strap pin is installed on the neck heel. The nut width is approximately 44mm, a slightly thin and very comfortable grip. The neck angle is ideal, and the truss rod has plenty of adjustment range. The frets have been replaced and have plenty of height remaining. The string height is adjusted to be easy to play, at approximately 2.5mm on the 6th string side and 1.7mm on the 1st string side at the 12th fret. There is still some saddle remaining from the bridge, so we can accommodate fine adjustments. The sweet, warm sound of the cedar is incredibly soothing! It's also very responsive, making it especially recommended for those who primarily play fingerpicking! Don't miss this opportunity! Original hard case included.
