This is a USA-made Precision Special Bass, produced from 1980 to 1982.
This particular model is a first-year Precision Special Bass in Candy Apple Red.
It features an original preamp, switchable via a mini-switch next to the jack, and all parts are finished in gold.
The battery cover and finger rest are missing.
There are numerous paint chips and peeling throughout, and the paint surface is tarnished.
The parts show tarnish, rust, and peeling plating, and there is a possibility of paint cracking in areas where the paint has peeled.
There are also numerous scratches and dents, indicating significant signs of heavy use.
