ITEM INFORMATION
Hey there, up for auction is an original script signed by Home Improvement show cast. The photo includes signatures of the following cast:
- Tim Allen (inscribed "Congrats Shawn your the best! Love you")
- Earl Hindman (inscribed "Shawn Nice Try!")
- Richard Karn (inscribed "Thanks...You made me laugh!")
- Patricia Richardson (inscribed "You were brilliant! Thank you for teaching me...")
- Zachery Ty Bryan (inscribed "You're the Best! I love you!")
- Taran Noah Smith (inscribed "One word, Amazing! Love ya!")
- Debbe Dunning (inscribed "Shawn, Its about time youre the best! I love you")
Note that all signatures are personalized to the Director of the specific show that the script is for, episode #A638 "Chop Shop 'Til You Drop". The script cover says "Shooting Script" on the bottom right but the script itself inside says "Mimeo Draft", not sure what the difference is. The script is 43 pages inside and held together by two bronze fasteners as shown.
Autograph Authentication
The autographs are certified authentic by PSA/DNA (AS02144), with a full Letter of Authenticity (LOA), which is shown in the photos on this listing.
Item Origin
These items are from the personal collection of Shawn Shea (1955-2024), noted Stage Manager and Assistant Director of "Home Improvement" and multiple other shows throughout the 1980's and 1990's. This is part of a larger collection auctioned by Julien's Auction House. Please see my other listings for more items from this collection.
Item Condition
Note the scrpit has somelight corner/edge wear and some surface wear on the top right from where it looks like a sticker or something was pulled off and took a bit of the paper (the lighter spot in the photo). The script looks amazing!
PSA/DNA, BAS, and JSA Certified Items
Note that as of 2024, only JSA is issuing basic certificate of authenticity (COA) cards with stickered items. BAS (Beckett) now utilizes a QR-coded and numbered sticker and announced in 03/2021 that they eliminated printed certification cards and fully transitioned to digitial certificates. In 10/2023, PSA announced that they will no longer be issuing basic certificate cards with items that pass authentication and instead will rely on the unique certification number and verification on PSA's site. Note that this process applies for basic certications only, any Letter of Authenticity upgrades or premium items still include a certificate. SHIPPING INFORMATION
The script will be shipped with cardboard backing in a sleeve. The sleeve will be secured with additional cardboard padding and shipped in an oversized envelope with plenty of "Do Not Bend" stamps. Due to the value of this item, shipping includes full insurance and tracking information.
