Since its introduction in 1958, the ES-335 has been a legendary instrument whose innovative structure and sound have kept it in continuous production to this day. Various specifications exist depending on the year of production, and each has its own shining charm, which is a testament to the excellence of its basic structure and design. This particular instrument is from 1978, and the body is made of gorgeous flame maple, which was rare for this period. The slightly slimmed-down 3-piece maple neck is also made of high-quality material that gives a sense of high rigidity. It is equipped with Super Humbucker pickups and a tap switch that allows for a wide range of sound shaping. Surprisingly light for an instrument from this period, where many instruments weigh in the upper 3kg range, many might imagine a dry, punchy, and hard sound due to its weight and balance, but not at all! You can enjoy a glossy and full-bodied tone! Aside from the nut and tuners being replaced and the stop tailpiece conversion, there are no other modifications, and the instrument remains in a generally clean condition. At a price comparable to a used current-generation Custom Shop ES-335, this sound is incredible... A fantastic instrument highly recommended for today's young guitarists!
