This old antique Baseball catchers glove mitt ball glove is in super shape and condition - must see all photos - stitching is tight and complete throughout! This circa ball mitt measures as follow: 10 inches wide and 9 inches long and 2.5 inches thick (thick and well padded)! My adult hand fits in the glove as displayed, great piece of vintage sports memorabilia and a must for any vintage sports collection. William Malcolm Dickey was a catcher and manager for the New York Yankees for 17 seasons, from 1928–1943. In 1946, his final season as a player, he also managed the Yankees. Dickey was a seven-time World Series champion and 11-time All-Star. His hitting and catching skills earned him induction into the Cooperstown Hall of Fame in 1954 and the Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame in 1961. Dickey set the standard for major league catchers in the first half of the 20th century.
