>Offered here is an old and original 2007 HELMUTH RILLING choral conductor signed bobblehead!! Please see all eight photos, as they are an important part of my description as is my "History" below. The offered bobblehead (sometimes referred to as a bobble, bobbin head or nodder) measures approximately 7 1/2" tall and is weighty at nearly one pound. The offered Helmuth Rilling bobblehead comes with the original box and styrofoam packaging. Rilling is grasping a cigar in one hand; his other hand is missing the insertable conductor's wand. The bobblehead appears to have been made of resin or a similar material, as evidenced by the weight. This vintage bobblehead is related to the Oregon Bach Festival (Eugene, Oregon) and was signed by Rilling on the metal nameplate which is present on the base. The box has the number "7/50" written on the box lid (see photo), which matches the number "7/50" written by Mr. Rilling on the nameplate. Unsigned Helmuth Rilling bobbleheads are quite rare and low-produced; based on the number on the nameplate and the box lid, autographed examples were limited to a mere fifty, with the bobblehead here being #7. 

       >History: Helmuth Rilling was a German choral conductor and an academic teacher who was internationally known as an authority on the music of Johann Sebastian Bach. He was the founder of the Gachinger Kantorei in 1954 while still a student, the Bach-Collegium Stuttgart in 1965, the Oregon Bach Festival in 1970 and other Bach Academies worldwide. He was born in Stuttgart, Germany in 1933 and passed away on February 11, 2026 in Leonberg, Germany.

     <>Condition: aside from the missing conductor's wand, the bobblehead is in very *Fine Shape* overall, showing barely any age/handling faults...nice!!! One could easily replace the missing wand with something similar, if one chose to do so. Part of the styrofoam packaging has broken off as well but the bobblehead still fits nicely inside the foam.
