This is an artsy post modern studio pottery chalice or goblet by Mempis, Tennessee potter Lisa Hudson. It is incised on the bottom with the potter's signature and a date that looks like 2003. The last digit is hard to make out. Wonderful, quirky shape and the color and glaze is beautiful. Lisa Hudson makes handmade wheel-thrown and slab-built functional pottery. She has been a potter in Memphis since 1987.
