The LDV MAXUS 2005 Spares or Repair is a white panel van crew cab with 8 seats . It is manual gearbox. This van is LWB high top, has had 3 previous owners and is a 2005 model from LDV. It has an oil leak from the rear crank shaft seal. I have owned this vehicle since May 2019. It has had a brand new alternator and drivers side CV Joint in October 2025. Two new tyres 6 months ago. This vehicle has been sat on the drive since November 2025.
The only corrosion I’m aware of is a couple on the drivers side one in front of the rear wheel (This is the MOT failure part). and one other half way down. Also one on the passenger side half way down. I have pictures if needed
The oil is coming from the right side of the engine, coming out between the engine and gear box. Been advised it’s the crank shaft seal.
MOT fails:
- Nearside Front Brake pad(s) less than 1.5 mm thick
- Offside Rear Vehicle structure or chassis has excessive corrosion, seriously affecting its strength within 30cm of a body mounting
- Front Oil leaking excessively from engine.
- Offside Rear Wheel bearing has excessive play.
- Offside Front Upper Macpherson strut top bush or bearing has excessive wear or free play.
