Circa 1915-1920, this Rose Famille bowl is hand painted in the Rose Medallion style. It features alternating panels of vivid, detailed scenes of nobility and florals and birds. This pattern was popular in the 18th and 19th centuries, and experienced a revival in the 20th. These pieces were specifically created for export to western markets enthusiastic about Chinese artistry and one of a kind art pieces. The bowl is stunning. It is an estate sale find.

It measures 9” across and 3 1/2” high, and is in beautiful condition. There are one or two minor stains due to age, but they’re not glaringly obvious, and do not detract from the beauty of this piece. The previous owner added tiny pieces of felt to the base, but you can remove these if you like.

Price for this piece is firm. Piece is cross posted. Thank you for looking!
