cosmetics

My eyesight does not allow me anymore to see at naked eye any relevant defects. My written description concerning cosmetics is based in the high magnification pictures I provide when I see them at a full HD 22 inches computer screen. Please check them in a computer screen, as I am not sure that a mobile phone display can give you all the details that you can see in a big full HD screen. In the end remember that you won’t be able to see all that by the naked eye.

Inside the watch:

Swiss made, high quality, the famous automatic wind Tissot 2170 movement, 17 jewels, Rhodium or chromium plated, made by Lemania. This movement is similar to Omega 1040, albeit without the 24 hours indicator.

Service history:

Not recently serviced

If it is not stated that the watch has been serviced recently (less than 5/6 years), you would better consider a revision by an expert watchmaker, no matter how good these simple test results may look.

Working condition:

1 – Winding is smooth

2 -Time setting is smooth.

3 – the movement makes a fast healthy beat sound when held against the ear.

4 – date changes OK

5 – Has worked at least 24 hours without stopping.

6 – All the chronograph functions, start, stop and reset work fine. The pusher at 2 o’clock starts and stops the chronograph, the pusher at 4 o´clock resets the chronograph.

7- the chronograph was put to work for more than 12 hours and it has never stopped.

To get you a clearer picture of how the watch will behave, I do the following home testing: I test it against a watch that I know is correct. For this I purpose I use a web page that provides the exact time. I check the deviation after 12 and 24 hours.

The results for this watch after 12 hours: -9 seconds and after 24 hours: -20 seconds.

These home tests are not a warranty of repeatability or accuracy.

No matter how good the test results may look, the watch is sold as is, without any sort of warranty.

Please note:

1 - The watch should not be used in the water! All diving watches, even recent, should be sent for a qualified water sealing service each year prior to diving season.

2 - Any acrylic or metallic display that might appear in the pictures is not included in the sale.

Remember that seeing the item at very high magnification, as in the pictures that I provide, brings to life small defects that the human eye does not perceive. That is why many people will like even more the watch after seeing it for real.

Please take a look at my other auctions and at my excellent feedback!

Condition: Please refer to the pictures for a complete perception of the item’s condition. This will be more precise and effective than my eyesight or judgment.

All pictures are of the actual item. Photos are not retouched or edited to mask defects. Please take time to enlarge the all the photos for the clearest, largest images. Photos usually disclose the condition much better than a written description as many people have a different idea on what words or terms may mean. If an identifying mark or defect is visible on the photo it is considered disclosed to the buyer.

If you don’t see it in the pictures and it is not mentioned in the description, then it is not included in the auction!

I aim to provide as much details concerning the auction as possible, because I feel that from a buyer's standpoint there is nothing more uncomfortable than unpleasant surprises.

International Buyers - important notes

Shipping

Registered Economic/standard shipping is available for European countries only.

Due to tracking failure, shipping to all countries outside Europe will have to be by Fedex or UPS.

If you are located in the European Union, UK or Swtzerland and can only see Express shipping price, just let me know and (before you pay) I will provide an invoice with the lower cost of registered standard shipping.

Tracking

Registered shipping (requiring your signature upon reception) can be tracked directly from the eBay page or on the shipping company website

Insurance

Insurance for loss is included at a cost of 2% of item's value. Insurance will be provided by a third party, not by the post, since I could not find a courier that insures collectibles, precious objects and watches.

By buying or making an offer you agree with all that is stated above.

Please skip this auction/sale if you don't agree with everything or if you disagree with something that is stated, thanks!
