1.Cleaning
Deep Cleaning: Use a strong cleaner (e.g., isopropyl alcohol or acetone) to remove all oil, moisture, and dust from the floor, ensuring it is completely dry and cool.
2.Environment & Tool Preparation Temperature: Ensure the floor and ambient temperature are between 10°C and 35°C during installation. Adhesion is poor if too cold and cures too quickly if too hot. Tools: Prepare a sharp utility tools, measuring tape, a heavy roller or rubber mallet, and newly purchased strong adhesive.
3. Pressure Application (Core Steps) During laying, always use the "peel-and-press" method, avoiding peeling off all the backing paper at once. Immediately after the tape is laid, use a rubber roller or mallet to apply repeated, firm pressure from the center to the edges, ensuring every inch, especially the edges, is adequately pressed. This is the most crucial step for activating the adhesive.
4.Curing & Post-Processing Adequate Curing: After installation, let it sit for at least 45 minutes and avoid any movement or stepping on it for 24 hours. Edge Sealing: For high-stress or moisture-prone areas like stair edges, apply a transparent waterproof sealant (e.g., silicone) along the tape edges 24 hours after curing to form a seal, which can greatly prevent moisture ingress and subsequent peeling.
