Antique Triangular Backplate / Rosette

This is for a door backplate that is made of cast brass or possibly bronze. A magnet will  not stick to the hardware.

The overall height is just under 3 7/8" and the width is just under 2 5/8 ". The hole knob hole diameter is 5/8 and if it sits on the edge it is 13/16".

The knob hole is not completely round.  Please see all of the pictures.

In as found condition.

There is some grim and tarnishing on the surface.

You may want to keep it in the way it is are , or you can clean and polish.
