Ferreira Antiques is a small antique business, operating from the heart of the Cotswolds since 2019. Our passion is finding fine antiques, decorative and designer items and complete sympathetic restorations where needed to ensure all pieces are in great condition when sold.
Condition. Please note that all antiques and vintage pieces for sale will show signs of age ware (patina) commensurate with age including some historical restorations and is sold as seen. Please use photos as an important part of the discretion. As mentioned, we do carry out sympathetic restorations to present every piece in the best possible condition considering that items are in "used" condition and not brand new.
Questions on items for sale. Feel free to ask any question if you are unsure regarding a specific item, we'll always endeavour to respond as quickly and transparently as possible. Please ask questions BEFORE bidding and not after if there is any doubt. Viewing can be arranged prior to purchase. This will be at a local emporium (near Stroud) where we have a physical shop presence/stand space.
Delivery. For larger furniture items, we deliver mostly ourselves in person. ( UK mainland only) and try to avoid using 3rd party couriers if possible. We find that self delivery bring a much better shopping experience where a specific time and date for delivery can be easily arranged with quick open communication directly between buyer and Ferreira antiques, rather than waiting all day for a courier (weeks after purchase). It will be a single person delivery to the "front door" but we are always happy to help move items in place if needed (this is when we delivery ourselves and is not applicable if 3rd party couriers are used). Please ensure that there is adequate help at the delivery address to assist the single person delivery with offloading.
Collection. You are more than welcome to collect in person. Ferreira Antiques has a physical shop presence in a local antique emporium (near Stroud) and collection can be arranged. Please note that prior arrangement of collection is essential to ensure we (Ferreira Antiques) have time move the item from storage and to place the item in the emporium, ready for collection. The collection will also need to be within opening times of the emporium.
Returns. Ferreira Antiques operates a straightforward return policy for items that are not as described. If a piece arrives with an issue, you will receive a full refund once it has been returned and inspected within 14 days. In cases where the concern is minor, we’re happy to discuss a mutually agreeable solution that satisfies everyone involved.
Please note that we do not offer a “sale on approval” service. This means purchases cannot be returned simply because the item is not to your taste or does not fit your space. Transporting antiques involves significant time, cost, and care, so we encourage you to ask as many questions as needed before committing to a purchase. If you remain uncertain, we recommend arranging an in‑person viewing where possible.
