The Pictorial Edition of The Life and Discoveries of David Livingstone by J. Ewing Ritchie in good condition. It is a two volume set published in the late 19th century, c1880, by A. Fullarton and Co. It is leather bound with gilt tooling. The spine is intact and there are no loose pages. There are 29 colour plates and 2016 wood engravings. The opening few pages are foxed, but much less so afterward. The back board on volume 2 has some wear (see last pic). It is a detailed account of the culture and natural history of African countries with many descriptions of local customs and daily life. There is an entire chapter on the subject of the slave trade.
