This new limited-edition model comes as part of the dive-ready Promaster collection, marking a unique take on the professional-grade style and performance. The robust 46mm silver-tone stainless steel exterior ensures up to 300 metres of water resistance, making use of a 4 o'clock screw-down crown placement and an easy-grip bezel executed in black for an incredibly bold aesthetic. Hidden lugs connect to a strap made from BENEBiOL™ PU, which includes plant-based materials, securing the timepiece to the wrist. The highly legible dial is brought to life through pigment-free ink that uses light – the same light that powers the Eco-Drive technology within – to reflect off the surface of the ink microstructures and create an array of aquatic shades. CITIZEN ECO-DRIVE is the brandname of a line of light-powered wristwatches manufactured by the Citizen Watch Co., Ltd. CITIZEN ECO-DRIVE TECHNOLOGY WATCHES are equipped with a special titanium lithium-ion secondary battery that is charged by an amorphous silicon solar cell located behind the dial. The titanium lithium-ion composition precludes it from being affected from the regular charge/discharge cycle of other types of rechargeable batteries. Light passes through the covering crystal and dial before it reaches the solar cell. A solar cell beneath the dial converts any form of light into electrical energy to power the watch. With regular exposure to light, Eco-Drive continuously recharges itself for a lifetime of use. Eco-Drive's lithium-ion rechargeable battery saves enough energy to operate the watch for more then six month (even in the dark).
