Rare Derby porcelain cup and saucer, c. 1790. Both pieces painted with the coat of arms, and crest of the Bishop of Durham. The borders with gilt decoration, on a cobalt blue ground.
A gilt dentil rim to the interior of the cup.

Puce crown and crossed batons factory mark to both pieces.

Height of cup – 5 cm, 2”.

Diameter – 13.2 cm, 5 1/8”.

Condition – Two short hairline cracks to the cup. Otherwise excellent. No restoration.
