Kalevala Koru Satasulka Bronze Bird Brooch – Kaisaleena Mäkelä

A collectible Finnish bronze Satasulka bird brooch by Kalevala Koru, complete with its original branded presentation box, tag and Satasulka 6050 information leaflet.

Designed by Kaisaleena Mäkelä, Satasulka formed part of Kalevala's Inception collection, launched in 1999 and inspired by animal-themed jewellery worn by Nordic peoples during the Iron Age.

Kalevala Koru has kindly confirmed directly that this bird brooch was produced from 1999 until 2004, establishing it as a genuine vintage piece.

The sculptural bronze bird has wonderful incised detailing across the body and a warm, naturally aged finish.

The reverse is marked KK / MADE IN FINLAND.

Supplied with its original Kalevala Koru presentation box, branded tag and Satasulka 6050 information leaflet.

Very good vintage condition with natural tonal variation and patina to the bronze consistent with age. The original packaging and literature also show normal signs of storage and age. Please see photographs for full condition.
