The YSG-I, the flagship model of Yamaha’s YSG series, was developed with the goal of achieving what Yamaha considered “ultimate playability” at the time.

It features a set-neck construction with a carefully selected 2-piece maple top and a luxurious 2-piece mahogany back. An ebony fingerboard with a deep jet-black appearance completes the look, giving this guitar the unmistakable presence of a true flagship model.

One of its standout features is the Bi-Sound System, which allows a wide range of tones to be created directly from the guitar. With a single push switch, you can instantly switch between the powerful sound of humbuckers and the delicate, articulate tones of single-coil pickups.

Equipped with 24 frets and Jim Dunlop jumbo frets, this instrument offers outstanding playability that rivals many modern high-end guitars.

There are some minor scratches and signs of use, but considering its age, overall damage is minimal and the guitar remains in relatively clean condition.
The truss rod functions properly, with ample adjustment room in both directions. The neck has been adjusted via the truss rod; when adjusted to be straight on the treble-string side, the bass-string side shows a very slight forward bow. This does not cause any issues during playing.
The frets show light wear but still have plenty of height remaining, with no significant impact on playability.
