Antique Webster Company sterling silver bride’s basket, dating to the late

Victorian / early Edwardian period, circa 1900–1920.

This is a classic American bride’s basket featuring a pedestal base, elegant

swing handle, and finely hand-pierced openwork gallery. The piece is marked

“STERLING” with the Webster Company arrow hallmark, used by Webster of North

Attleboro, Massachusetts, a respected American silver manufacturer.

Bride’s baskets were traditionally given as wedding gifts and used to display

flowers, fruit, or sweets on a sideboard or parlor table. The pedestal stem

retains a period hand-engraved monogram, typical of presentation silver from

this era.

Most original glass liners were lost over time; this example is offered without

the liner, which is common and expected for antique bride’s baskets.

Weight: approximately 148 grams (solid sterling silver).

Condition: very good antique condition with honest surface wear consistent with
