You can set timers for TV recording, to either DVD, or, VHS. DVDs from any country can be played back because it's DVD region free/multiregional. You can also play Ntsc Vhs tapes. You've got composite camcorder inputs, at the front, if you want to connect your camcorder through it. Then you can record your camcorder footage direct to Dvd. The Daewoo was a capable unit. There is a SCART input at the back too. You could connect external SCART devices here to display through the Daewoo's HDMi, to your TV. Think of it like an inbuilt Scart to Hdmi converter.
