An extremely beautiful deck that has very minimal blemishes and otherwise looks as if they were never played with. Potentially played with only a handful of times it is an extremely well preserved deck from the Perfection Playing Card Co.
The PPCC was established in Philadelphia, PA in 1885 and moved their production to New York shortly after in 1889. These cards were produced in Philadelphia as the ace showcases. The Tip-Top #350 line produced came with plain edges or Golden (Gilted) edges using gold leaf to really allow the sides of the cards to shine. The deck for offer here has a very bright shine to them.
The Jokers of these decks could have had one of a small selection included. This deck includes "The Jolly Joker" with the words "Here we are again." The joker mimic a jack-in-the-box, with the Joker jumping out of the box.
The two-way back design showcases cherbs leaning back pulling on the other's hand amongst small branches, flowers, and a crescent moon. Outside the oval pictorial is floral scrollwork that covers the rest of the card. A Very beautiful design that lends praise to the producers name.
Please review all photos before purchasing. This is a well-preserved piece of playing card history.
