Activision's licensed hunting series continues with Cabela's Big Game Hunter 2010 on Wii. Once again players must travel to scenic locales across the globe to track down and shoot specific animals. Big Game Hunter includes 24 trophy animals, from lions and bears to rams and cougars, lurking within Africa, Montana, New Zealand, and other destinations. Players can also embark on ten "trophy legend" expeditions and unlock hunts for smaller game and birds. Authentic weapons and equipment, such as crossbows, rifles, and signal callers, are unlocked as hunters progress through the main campaign. A point system taking into account shot distance, an animal's size, and other variables is designed to encourage repeat hunting trips.
