Out-of-print, original 2010 German-pressed EU-issue 4-CD set of the orchestral works of 20th Century Hungarian composer Zoltan Kodaly (1882-1967).

These are studio recordings made in the 1970s heyday of Decca, with most items performed by Philharmonia Hungarica conducted by Antal Dorati.

Discs 1 and 2 contain the Hary Janos Suite, Dances of Galanta, Peacock Variations and Dances of Marosszek along with lesser-performed works of the composer including the Concerto for Orchestra and Symphony In C

Discs 3 and 4 contain Istvan Kertesz and the London Symphony Orchestra’s 1968 recording of the Singspiel of Hary Janos (starring Peter Ustinov as the Narrator) as well as the Psalmus Hungaricus.

CONDITION:
All four CDs are in NEAR MINT condition, play perfectly.

Booklet and card clamshell case are in EXCELLENT condition, light wear to the booklet, no major blemishes. Booklet contains 20 pages with a brief but informative note on the composer and the works.

This is an original and genuine factory-pressed set of four CDs in individual paper sleeves, with booklet and card clamshell case. It is not a CD-R, not a copy and not a bootleg.
