Capsicum - Antohi Romanian seeds

Capsicum annuum
Pack: 10 seeds, 5g

Capsicum Antohi Romanian is a treasured heirloom variety brought to the USA by a Romanian acrobat in 1991. This bush thrives in cooler climates, producing an abundance of 10 cm by 5 cm blocky fruits that transition from yellow to orange to vibrant red as they mature. Known for its prolific yield, it’s an excellent choice for outdoor gardens in cool climates. For even better results, try adding black plastic to the soil to maintain consistent soil temperatures and boost productivity.

Start seeds on a heat mat or indoors in August, and transplant them outdoors once the risk of frost has passed and the soil has warmed (early to mid-November for cooler climates). For an earlier start, use a hot house. If planting outside, lay black plastic over the soil and cut an X to plant into. Consistent soil warmth is essential, with an optimal temperature range of 24°C to 30°C. Seeds usually germinate in 10 to 20 days at these temperatures, but it may take longer in cooler conditions.
