Reverse: Between two lions, the coat of arms of Romania, draped and crowned, with the Latin motto below. Romanian legend above, value on each side, year below with workshop letter and different.

Lettering: 5 L NIHIL SINE DEO B 1880

Translation: 5 Lei Nothing Without God B 1880

Edge: Milled

Mint: B State Mint (Monetăria Statului), Bucharest, Romania (1870-date)

Comments: This beautiful circulated coin is ungraded and uncertified, making it a valuable addition to any coin collection.

Nihil sine Deo (Nothing without God/'s will/) was the motto of the Romanian Kingdom (1878-1947) while ruled by the Hohenzollern-Sigmaringen dynasty.

There are two known obverse varieties of this coin:

1: 1880, Name of the engraver along the rim;

2: 1881, Name of the engraver directly under the portrait.
