Susan Carter began her recording career in 1961, at the age of 13, as Susan Rafey. She released a number of singles on Kapp, Jubilee and Verve through the 60's. She released this single in 1968 as Susan Carter, presumably taking the last name of her new husband, Les Carter (who produced the record). She subsequently took on the moniker "Outrageous Nevada" as she gained renown as an underground DJ in the late 60's on legendary Los Angeles FM station KPPC. Here is a very clean promo copy. Vinyl grades NM: my test play may have been its first time on a turntable as it is unmarked with black, inky vinyl and like-new gloss. Labels grade VG++: there are small initials written on one side and the date 3/18/68; otherwise the labels are clean and unmarked; strong graphics and logo; bright yellow promo label. Includes an MGM sleeve (Verve was owned by MGM and used MGM sleeves). Top copy!
