Lovely antique original single door knob. Quality solid brass casting with a good weight. The warm shade of brass has been lightly polished by hand and is unlacquered. There are 4 recessed screw holes to the round backplate for installation. Though one extra hole has been added to the backplate at a later date (see photos). This handle dates to the early 1900’s. Takes a standard square bar spindle. I can post one out if needed, just contact me after purchasing to let me know. To the side there is a mark from the original casting (see close up photos). This in no way effects the use.
