Ford 6R140 units often suffer loss of lubrication pressure at the converter hub support pump bearing due to failure of the integral bearing seal. When the bearing itself fails, a high-pitch noise/pump whine will result. Installing Sonnax converter hub support pump bearing  restores normal operation by stemming the leakage and eliminating abnormal noise.
